Dr. Graham Leonard and Mrs.Widad Kawar have known of each other for since the early 1950's when Dr. Leonard taught her younger brother Munir at the Friends School in Ramallah. They got to know each other better when Dr. Leonard returned to Jordan 20 years ago to establish the MaHakkaat at-Tafkir education program. They have been good friends ever since.
We wish to showcase the Tiraz Center, a museum that Mrs.Kawar established to educate the world about our beautiful embroidery, Palestine's heritage for generations to come.
