LE•O Mentorship and U.S.–based Scholarship Program
Call For Applications
About the Program
The Leonard Education Organization (LE•O) is pleased to announce a Call for Applications from Palestinian high school students who would like to pursue U.S.-based scholarships for the academic year beginning in fall of 2020.
The program offers qualified high school students currently in their 10th and 11th grade the opportunity to be matched with a Palestinian mentor who has pursued higher education in the United States and Canada and who is familiar with navigating the process of college admission and obtaining fully-funded scholarship packages.
The mentors work directly with the selected applicants in guiding them through the application process to U.S. and Canadian colleges and universities. They guide students in selecting colleges and universities that suit their interests, devise an application timeline, ensure they have the resources to attain the required TOEFL and SAT scores and write competitive admission essays. LE•O covers the cost of all educational materials required as well as test-taking fees for students who demonstrate financial merit.
The mentors work simultaneously with the LE•O staff to help negotiate full scholarship packages for our mentees. While participation to the LE•O Mentorship Program does not automatically guarantee students admission into a U.S. or Canadian college with a scholarship, LE•O has had a solid track record in placing program participants at top U.S. and Canadian colleges and universities with full funding.
The mentorship program is geared toward all Palestinian students based in the Middle East, and we strongly encourage students from underrepresented and disadvantaged backgrounds to apply.
