Melissa Cahill

Melissa Cahill is a cybersecurity professional, education advocate, and mentor based in Washington, D.C. Born and raised in Washington State, she became involved in advocacy for Palestine after visiting the West Bank and running the Palestine Marathon in 2015.

Her work today focuses on helping students in Gaza access higher education and build pathways toward their academic and professional futures. She mentors students, particularly those pursuing STEM fields, providing individualized support with university and scholarship applications, CVs and essays, English-language development, interview preparation, and career planning. She also works directly with universities, scholarship organizations, and other partners to advocate for students and help navigate the significant barriers to continuing their education during war and displacement.

Melissa is passionate about ensuring that talented students whose education has been disrupted by conflict have the opportunity to continue their studies, develop their abilities, and build the futures they have worked so hard toward.
